The General Programme is suitable for everyone, regardless of their level of experience or background. Classes consists of some guided meditation practice, and a talk about how Buddhist view can help solve daily problems with relationships or situations.
Everyone is welcome – you do not need to be a Buddhist to attend, or to benefit from the classes.

Foundation Programme (FP)
This programme provides a comprehensive and systematic presentation of Buddha’s teachings especially suited to the modern world, that enables students to deepen their understanding and experience of Buddhism through study, discussion and meditation practice. Students can join at any point, whether or not the book has started.
We have 3 Foundation Programmes at Tara KMC:
FP programme: Sunday from 2-6.30pm. Includes 45min break. Teacher: Paul Jenkins. Studying New Heart of Wisdom (Sep 2017). FP Class: Monday from 7-9pm Teacher: Paul Jenkins. Studying Eight Steps To Happiness (Sep 2017). FP Class: Thursday 9:15am-11:15am Teacher: Kelsang Pagma. Studying Joyful Path of Good Fortune (Sep 2017).
Fees: The subscription is £25 per month. For £40 per month you become a “Friend of Tara KMC” and are able to attend all courses and classes run by the centre, but not events like UK Dharma Celebration or empowerments. Accommodation is not included with this.
Enrolment: To enrol, you will need to talk with the Education Programme Coordinator (EPC) of Tara Centre. There are some basic commitments to studying on FP, which are an important part of the programme. These will be discussed during your meeting with the EPC.

Teacher Training Programme (TTP)
The Teacher Training Programme is designed for those who wish to train as qualified Kadampa Buddhist Teachers. The TTP includes in depth study of Sutra and Tantra and extensive meditation retreats.
